The file upload quote request Magento 2 feature in Cart2Quote allows customers to attach supporting documents directly to their quote submission. When active, an “Upload files to quote request” panel appears on the right side of the quote request page. Customers add a title, choose a file, attach multiple documents if needed, and submit everything alongside their product list in one go.

When you enable this setting, Cart2Quote adds an upload panel to the quote request page. The panel contains four elements:
Allowed file types are configured in Advanced Options and default to jpg, png, pdf, and jpeg. All uploaded files are immediately accessible to the admin team on the backend quote detail page.
In many B2B purchasing scenarios, a product list alone does not give your sales team enough information to produce an accurate proposal. Without supporting documents, they must chase the customer for additional details — adding days to the quote process and creating a disconnected communication trail.
For example, a construction company requests quotes for custom-fabricated components. They need to attach technical drawings for the sales team to price accurately. Without the file upload feature, they send the drawings separately by email. Your sales team must then match the email to the correct quote manually. With the file upload quote request feature, however, the drawings arrive with the quote in one complete submission. Consequently, your sales team produces a more accurate proposal faster. In addition, the entire conversation stays within the Cart2Quote system rather than spreading across multiple channels.

Compare EditionsThis feature suits stores serving industries where purchase decisions involve technical specifications. Manufacturing, construction, engineering, healthcare equipment, and custom fabrication are strong examples. It is also valuable for any store responding to formal tenders or RFQs, where the request document must be reviewed before pricing can be confirmed.
Combine this with Enable Frontend Tier Quantity Request to give customers a fully featured quote submission page that handles both volume pricing requests and supporting documentation in one place.
The file upload quote request feature in Magento 2 closes the information gap between a customer’s product list and the context your sales team needs to price accurately. Because customers attach all supporting documents in a single submission, proposals are faster, more accurate, and based on complete information from the start. Enable this feature for any store where technical drawings, specifications, or tender documents are a regular part of the quoting process.
